A mini LUSH and Benefit haul!

I recently uploaded a mini LUSH and Benefit haul to my channel, I'm really enjoying my YouTube at the moment, and am working hard to try and make better quality videos. I'm still trying to equal out the work I do there, the work I do here and school work, but I'm sure I'll figure it out soon enough!
I've also started selling some CLOTHES on eBay, (tbh I think I've become a little addicted) and am trying to earn enough money to buy myself something. I'm really liking the idea of earning the money rather than simply asking for it for my Birthday next month. Let us all take a moment here to recognise that I'm going to be 19...WHAT?
Also, tomorrow I am going down to Bristol, and I am visiting the 'Being Human' house, jealous? SO EXCITE!
I'd really appreciate it if y'all took the time to check out my channel, I really want to reach 70 subscribers for my Birthday...Which I will be vlogging.
I'm also planning...
Yup! I've already started buying, so keep your eyes peeled, I like throwing in favourites of mine.

Garnier Summer Body Lotion Review

For the past few summers I haven't been bothered about tanning, I had a particularly orange incident in year 8 which left me with bad feelings about the whole area. I don't really go outside to tan in the sun, and I'm not bothered about fake tan. But recently I've been watching a LOT of Arika Sato's videos on YouTube, and I guess she's rubbing off on me. I've purchased teeth whitening things, tanning lotion and started working out more (there'll be another post/video on all of this soon). WEIRD.
Anyway, the other day I decided to visit Boots and bought myself the Garnier Summer Body  Lotion. I decided to go for Deep, as these kinds of things NEVER work for me. I've tried Dove as well as a load of other 'tanning' body lotions, and they don't seem to work! So, me being the naive mental case I am, I bought the one suited for dark skin tones. You guys know I'm pale as Dracula.
I took a shower and exfoliated my WHOLE body with Soap & Glory's Flake Away, as it is one of my favourite exfoliators. (After The Breakfast Scrub) I'd advise using a thick scrub like this, just so that you REALLY get all the dead skin off, it'll also make for easier application later on.
Also, remember to shave your legs!
Once out of the shower, dry off, and I mean REALLY DRY! If you don't the water could make the tan run, and you will have one cray lookin' tan. Then, you simply apply the lotion as you would normal body lotion.
The lotion is white and a little thin. It does have a very pleasant apricot scent, and smells a little like suntan lotion. However after a while on the body it does begin to give off that fake tan smell. I have to say after a day, I looked like I'd been on a short holiday to France. The tan was my natural colour (kind of a reddish dirty brown) which was awesome, because unlike everyone else I don't go golden brown. I found that there were some unblended lines, which kinda sucks, but the next day I re-scrubbed then applied the lotion (mixed 2/3 to 1/3 with normal lotion) in the less-tanned areas and now it looks brilliant!
(Top - without flash in-room (a little shadowed - sorry) Bottom - in daylight with flash)
This is definitely a 2 day process if you aren't experienced at putting this stuff on (like me), but you could try a tanning mitt to give a more even look.
I did get a deep tan, and if you are pale and want a 'sunkissed look' I'd go with the lighter colour and just layer it up as you want. Or you could just shower off after letting the lotion develop for an hour or so. It's very moisturising, and kind of greasy on the skin, but does get absorbed quickly. It might just be me though with the greasy feeling, as I rarely REALLY use body lotion. My skin is like rubber.
I'm really happy with my results, and would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to venture into self-tanning, but doesn't want to go to a booth or pay for a spray tan. I feel like this is a pretty reasonable price too, I decided on the 250ml rather than the 500ml just in case I didn't like it. The 250ml bottle is around £5.30 at Boots, and I have to say if you want to experiment this is DEFINITELY enough product!

Busy Bee Candles Haul

I have been umming and aahing about buying stuff from Busy Bee Candles for a LONG time. But when they announced their January discount code, (30% off) I decided to take the plunge! I have to say I'm pretty happy with everything I chose.
One thing I was worried about was choosing scents online, it's easy to go in-store and pick something up that you like but online it's riskier.
I bought eight pots of 'Magik Beans', which are basically scented wax moulded into bean shapes. I'm still planning on planting them in the back garden though...golden egg here I come!
Golden Caramel - Okay, just the PICTURE of this convinced me. This is the STRONGEST scent in the lot, as in I opened the box and it hit me square in the face. It's sweet and delicious and is really making me hungry. I literally want to eat these (please don't).
Sweet Cherry Pie - I did buy this one for the name, as it's a line from one of my favourite songs ever (Warrant). Cherry pie is my favourite kind of pie, and these beanz smell JUST LIKE IT! I'mma go make a cherry pie tomorrow.
Keylime Pie - Is there a pie theme here? Or do I just like the smell of food, probably. There is so much goodness about this lil' pot o' beanz, for one, they are green which obviously makes them far superior. They really DO smell like keylime pie, you can smell all the tones, the lime, the condensed milk, even the biscuit crust!
Cinnamon Buns - FOOD! Cinnabon is the one place I always treat myself to when I go to America. I LOVE cinnamon buns! But to me, these smell kinda strange, there's definitely some icing drizzle in there. Overall it's not as great an offering as the last three.
Animal Instinct - Think of the sexiest man ever, this is what he smells like. I'm melting this at the moment, OHMYGOODNESS! This is one of my favourite scents in here, it's masculine but sweet and very sexy. We like.
Bite Me - Theres something sweet and recognisable about this scent, it reminds me a little of blood orange. I really like this, if you are thinking of a romantic night for Valentines day, melt/burn this! It's lovely and sexy!
Dragons Blood - This smells woody, almost like myrrh which is one of my favourite deep scents. It reminds me of the dwarves from The Hobbit, earthy and musky...now this is getting weird. But seriously! It's natural and deep, if you aren't into myrrh or frankincense  this isn't for you.
Magnolia Blossom - I suckered myself into this one because it's floral and Spring will be here in a month or so. This is probably the scent I am least keen on, simply because my Mum has bought a bathroom spray that smells just like this. It reminds me of our downstairs loo. It's nice and florally, but it's not a great reminder for me! If you like flowery scents, you will like this!

Overall, I'm happy with my products. I would have liked more colour variation within the beans, but that's just probably because I chose a load of similarly named things. I'd definitely recommend this company, and Busy Bee Candles regularly has a 10% off voucher floating around on their site!
I ordered these on the 31st of January and they arrived on the 4th of February, so they have pretty amazingly fast shipping too!

I had to...

This is a little post about something I just had to do.
Earlier this year I told you guys to look out in my ETSY store for some awesome LOTR/Hobbit stuff, and it's coming!
I released the first piece last night, and can't wait to share with you guys the rest of what I have lined up for this collection. Can you tell I'm excited?
There will be necklaces, earrings and even possibly rings and bracelets. All the items will be released by the end of March. I just wanted to let you guys know, because I'm really excited and hope that there are some other Hobbit/LOTR fans out there that I can nerd out with.
The first piece in the collection, is my first ever completely customisable necklace! Look at the AMOUNT of options!
This is my personal necklace, it contains the drawing from Thorin's map of Erebor (The Lonely Mountain). I hope you guys like this, and check it out. I have so much up my sleevies!

January - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

"What the heck is this?" I hear you ask. It's a fancy 'Monthly Favourites' with some bad things and some really bad things thrown in for good measure. Karma. These will sometimes be beauty favourites, other times they will be other kinds of things, like YouTubers or movies! I'm keeping you on your toes!

The Good
- Kat Sketch is probably one of my favourite YouTubers, she has a wonderful personality and is really down to earth. Definitely go check her out!
- The movie 'Frozen' I LOVE this movie, the way it looks is just perfect, and Elsa and Anna are brilliant. I have to say that for me, Olaf steals the show, and there are some great twists in this movie. It's a nice change/addition to the Disney princesses.
- OPI 'My Vampire is Buff' literally can't keep this polish off my nails this past couple of weeks...it calls to me!
- 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' c'mon how was this NOT going to be in here?
- Gaviscon: this stuff has literally saved my life this month.
- Going to the cinema by myself, I surprisingly really enjoyed it.
- Going shopping by myself, I have to say I'm one of those people who LIKES going clothes shopping with my Mum. But I LOVE going accessories/movie/makeup shopping by myself, it's so peaceful and there's NO TIME CONSTRAINTS!
- Maybelline Brow Drama: I now have eyebrows...hello Lily Collins.
- Garnier: I've never tried their products before but what I've seen so far = Impressed.
- 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones' I expected to hate this film, as Lily Collins is far from one of my favourite actresses and Jamie Campbell Bower is far from a favourite actor. But it was SO GOOD! I LOVE this movie...added bonus...Aidan Turner's in it.
- LUSH's Curly Wurly shampoo (review soon).
-LUSH's solid shampoo bars, I MUST have more!
- OPI Nail Envy base coat, the BEST base coat. It has helped my nails become so much stronger.
- Nicole by OPI's Hayley Good Lookin' is the prettiest sparkly pink polish EVER!
-Real Techniques' Expert Face Brush - yes please.
-Bourjois Max Effect Volume Mascara...SO GOOD!

The Bad
- Ran out of Cucumber face wipes.
- Smudged about 15 manicures before sealing with a top coat.
- Finished ALL the series' of Ab Fab and now have nothing to watch.
- Have GORD.
- Almost went out the in, in a multi-story mall car park...luckily no one saw.
- Put LUSH Ultrabland Cleanser on face, smells gross.
- Don't think Benefit's It's Potent eye cream is working.
- Have bad eyebrows.
-Failed at becoming a vegetarian - Damn you moussaka!

The Ugly
- Justin Bieber.
- I am putting myself on a spending ban for everything for the next month, so will be reviewing things I already have. Deal with it.
- Room is still a dump.
-Got really sick again...damn my bad immune system.

OPI - Skyfall and My Vampire Is Buff

I feel like every so often in my nail polish collection, I find two perfect polishes that were literally made for each other. The same thing happened yesterday when I decided to try out 2 of my favourite OPI polishes together, and this happened!
Epic right? It seems that loads of people have found this combination and agree, these polishes are perfect for each other. This is currently the manicure I'm wearing and I LOVE IT! I can't wait for my index and middle finger nails to grow longer so that the pointed tip looks awesome like it does on my thumb. I'm not a fan of stiletto nails, but I'm loving the slight point to this shape!
I digress...on to the review.

My Vampire Is Buff

This is a gorgeous cream polish from OPI, and is one of my favourites in my collection. It was even my choice of polish for our Sixth Form Leavers Ball last year (with accents of OPI's 'I only drink Champagne'). It's smooth and is opaque in three thin coats or two thicker coats if you don't mind the drying time.
(Apologies for the splodge on the side...it adds character though right? RIGHT? Right.)
To say that I love this polish would be an understatement, with a glossy topcoat over the top it is so pretty and shiny, or you could add your favourite glitter polish over the top. I like to use two coats of Nicole by OPI 'Hayley good lookin'' for a pretty, girly manicure. All-in-all a great cream coloured nail polish, and one I'd definitely recommend you add to your collection.

I own two polishes from the James Bond collection, and this is by far my favourite of the two. It's a deep brown-red and is a cream formula.
Again the layering applies the same, three thin coats or two thick coats, however I have found that I can easily get away with two thin coats as this polish is so pigmented! I prefer to use this as an accent nail polish, or for nail art, rather than doing my whole hand, but that's just me. It's a browny bloody red, the kinda blood that you see on CSI red, and is absolutely my favourite red throughout my entire collection.
Two hits from OPI there, I hope you guys consider checking these polishes out! Have you got any favourite nail polishes from OPI? Or seen any that you want to know about/see swatches of/me to try out? Let me know below in the comments!

LUSH Review: The Comforter bubble bar

Being a cult classic/favourite I was determined to try this thing out at some point. In store I couldn't find the appeal, but when I came to shopping online the other day, I figured why not?
Let's start with the obvious point, The Comforter is HUGE! I mean it's one of the two biggest bubble bars LUSH sell, and I decided to divide this thing up into six pieces. Yup, you can get SIX reasonably sized pieces of bubble bar outta this one big £4.50 giant (75p per bath!). It smells like blackcurrant, but a more organic blackcurrant than Ribena. To tell you the truth I WISH it smelled like Ribena, but it does not. It smells fruity and delicious though, and if you are a fan of blackcurrant I'm sure you will like this bubble bar. This is definitely one of the better deals you'll find in LUSH, although it seems more pricey than some of their regular bars, it goes a helluva long way.
The bar is a little smaller than my hand, and is a swirl of bright fuchsia and white, I think it's a really nice contrast to Blue Skies
Now on to the results! This is the only bubble bar that I've had that really smells IN THE BATH, others seem to fade after a while but this one smelt delicious the whole time (which was one episode of PLL).
In the bath my water turned a lovely deep fuchsia shade, and I had MORE than enough bubbles (with only a  6th of this thing...sorry can't get over it). This had better bubble payoff than some of the other bars I've tried in the past!
This wasn't even half way through running my bath, the full thing was basically those big white bubbles ALL OVER! I wanted y'all to be able to see the pink water...
I would definitely recommend this bubble bar to anyone wanting a sweet, fruity bath. YUM!
